Lane Cove River Park, 1969, watercolour on paper, 27.5 x 21 cm.
As a family we often visited the Lane Cove River Park for picnics and a swim. My grandmother Dorothy Rosebery had a birthday and I thought is was a great idea to paint her a picture.
Again my all-encouraging father sat with me on a banks of a bend in the river whilst I painted for a few hours. The painting was duly framed and had pride of place in my grandmothers apartment until she died in 1981.
