Palacio de Generalife, Grenada, Spain 2019, charcoal on paper, 24 x 31 cm.
A lifetime dream of mine was to see the moorish architecture of famed Alhambra Palace at Grenada, in Andalusia Spain. We splashed out and stayed a night in a suit at the Parador Grenada. This was once the Convent of San Francisco located within the grounds of the Alhambra Palace area. From our window we had a view of the Palacio de Generalife or Summer Palace. That evening before dinner I spent several hours undertaking this charcoal sketch.
