This painting is a commission by the Alumni of the Blue Mountains Hotel School Leura NSW Australia. Val Cook was both teacher, mentor and friend of students at the School for over 27 years. The portrait now hangs within the School’s foyer to commemorate both his longstanding service, and more importantly, the devotion and friendship that Val Cook gave to all ‘his’ students.
