Ruth and I took a two-day cruise around the World Heritage listed Cat Ba Archipelago to Halong Bay in Vietnam in March 2020. Cat Ba consists of 755 islands with their marine invaded karst limestone topography. There are countless majestic towers, many with arches and caves caused by coastal erosion. This quick 1.5-hour sketch was my view from the upper deck at dusk whilst we were moored for the night.
