Karlu Karlu Timescape, 2015, acrylic on canvas, triptych 228 x 76 cm. Each panel is 76 x 76 cm.

In 2006 whilst visiting Alice Springs in Central Australia for work I drove the 400 kms north to visit Karlu Karlu (aka the Devil’s Marbles). Karlu Karlu means ‘Round Rocks’ in the local Alyawarre Aboriginal language and is a remarkable rock formation that today is a registered Aboriginal Sacred Site. Over two days I sketched, photographed and walked around these gigantic boulders.
