Echo Point Middle Harbour, 1966, watercolour on paper, 27.5 x 19 cm.
I was brought up in at No. 4 Lockley Parade, East Roseville, on the North Shore of Sydney - not far from the present day Roseville Bridge. Just down the road was the beautiful Echo Point Park overlooking Middle Harbour and the Roseville Boat Shed (now Roseville Marina). Here I sat beside my father Arthur who encouraged me to paint for several hours. I was just 10 years old and my parents framed this work - I was very proud!
