My parents took their three younger children on a month;’s vacation to New Zealand in 1969. For Jocelyn, Ken and me this was our first overseas trip. The excitement was immense, the landscape unfamiliar and spectacular. Again, with my father’s encouragement, I sat by the side of the road close to one of the many motels we stayed at and painted this ideal scene.
