I have undertaken preparatory drawings for a 7 x 2.6 metre mural at Q Station. This is a four star resort at North Head in Sydney; a hotel that has utilised and maintained the heritage character of Sydney’s old Quarantine Station.
This mural is destined for a new bar and café in Q Station’s upper precinct.
The work offers a scene centred on life at the old Quarantine Station, circa 1918, showing passenger arrival on the ferry Kookaburra providing a sense of history and nostalgia.
