My Karlu Karlu Timescape series of three has been selected for the Clyde Community Art Project, now in its third year. Clyde & Co are a leading and innovative legal firm with clients in over 120 countries. As part of its global social responsibility it supports new talent. A panel carefully selected from over 300 new graduate artists’ work, selecting only 12 graduates from the three key Sydney art colleges – namely the National Art School, the University of Sydney’s Sydney College of the Arts and University of New South Wales Art & Design. These emerging artists’ paintings are being exhibited at Clyde & Co. offices at 420 George Street Sydney and promoted by the firm to staff and clients throughout the entire year.
The opening and awards took place on Wednesday 12 February 2016, an delightfully I was accompanied on the night by my older daughter Helena. It is gratifying to know that my work is on display in such a high traffic area for the year.
The three hyper-real Karlu Karlu Timescape paintings capture different times of the day. Each is an experiment in colour and light, with a distinctly different palette. See Karlu Karlu Timescapes – Sunrise, Midday and Sunset.
